Work Experience

  1. Syracuse University, Research Assistant

    May 2023 β€” May 2024

As a Research Assistant at Syracuse University, I have applied technology and AI to material science in innovative ways. Using Generative AI, I designed bioinspired materials by creating over 200 unique patterns inspired by animal skin, improving impact resistance by 30% and heat dissipation by 20% in composite prototypes through computational simulations. I also trained the Microsoft Phi-3 Vision Model to analyze Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Glass Transition Temperature data, achieving 92% accuracy on a dataset of over 500,000 experiments. In addition, I am developing a GenAI-powered haptic treadmill for VR military training, enabling users to experience five different terrains for enhanced realism. My work also includes experimenting with CNN models to predict the loading curve of bamboo, leveraging over 100,000 simulated datasets. These experiences have strengthened my ability to apply AI, machine learning, and computational simulations to solve real-world engineering problems, and I am excited to continue innovating at the intersection of technology and applied sciences.

  2. iConsult Collaborative, Mobile Developer

    October 2023 - April 2024

As a Software Developer Intern at IConsult Collaborative, I developed an application to help the firm transition from an offline program to a digital platform, improving accessibility for over 5,000 customers. One of my key contributions was creating a personalized workout builder, allowing users to design custom fitness plans from a library of over 300 exercises, tailored to their difficulty level and preferences. Additionally, I integrated RESTful APIs into the app, enabling seamless redirection to thousands of workout videos, enhancing the overall user experience. This project strengthened my skills in full-stack development, API integration, and building scalable applications that provide real-world value to users.

  3. Ankidroid, Open Source developer

    October 2021 β€” September 2022

As an active contributor to the AnkiDroid open-source project, I worked on enhancing functionality, improving maintainability, and optimizing user experience for its 2-million-user ecosystem. I developed user-requested features, fixed critical bugs, and ensured the app remained compatible with ongoing Anki updates. One of my key contributions was constructing a FloatingActionMenu, which improved navigation while removing two external dependencies, allowing for greater customization. Additionally, I designed a WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) editor, enabling users to create flashcards without needing HTML knowledge, leading to a 40% increase in flashcard creation. To maintain long-term stability, I built 25+ unit and integration test classes, ensuring seamless functionality across future updates. Furthermore, I migrated 100+ Java classes to Kotlin, improving code readability, maintainability, and performance, while actively collaborating on 50+ peer reviews to uphold code quality and best practices. My contributions to AnkiDroid strengthened my expertise in Android development, open-source collaboration, and scalable software architecture.

  4. Intract technologies, Android Frontend intern

    June 2021 β€” August 2021

As a Frontend Developer Intern at Intract Technologies, I worked on revamping the application codebase, fixing a critical student book access bug, and improving the UI for over 10,000 users. I implemented a calendar feature that allowed teachers to set assignment deadlines easily, enhancing usability and workflow efficiency. Additionally, I automated outdated resource deletion, streamlining resource management and saving teachers over two hours per week. This experience strengthened my ability to optimize application performance, enhance user experience, and develop efficient solutions to improve productivity in educational platforms.

Research Experience

  1. Animal-skin-pattern-inspired multifunctional composites by generative AI click here

    May 2024 β€” December 2024

Bioinspired composite materials offer unique advantages by replicating the structural properties of their natural counterparts. However, their complex hierarchical architecture, combined with a limited number of observations, makes it challenging to capture all structural features and modify them for functional optimization without losing their inherent characteristics. To address this, we applied Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) to design composites inspired by animal skin patterns, utilizing a small dataset to generate diverse configurations that closely resemble natural designs. Through computational simulations, we explored the structure-mechanics relationship, uncovering notable variations in mechanical properties and identifying patterns with superior performance. We validated these optimized configurations through tensile tests on specimens fabricated using multimaterial 3D printing. This study highlights GenAI’s role in enhancing structural design, enabling rational bioinspired innovations, and is complemented by an educational web page featuring interactive games for public engagement.

  2. V-Share:Allows Users to Donate & Track Educational Resources to Different Schools and NGOs that Provides Free Education to Children's click here

    September 2020 β€” May 2021

We developed the V-Share Application to streamline fundraising, support, and donation efforts, focusing on sharing educational resources in rural areas of Mumbai. The platform provides an intuitive interface that seamlessly connects donors with NGOs and schools, making it easy to donate textbooks, notebooks, pencils, and other educational materials. To ensure efficient delivery, I implemented a streamlined process where donors receive a provided bag to package their contributions, guaranteeing that donations reach their intended recipients. Additionally, I integrated secure authentication measures to protect the integrity of the donation process and offer confirmation upon successful delivery. The V-Share Application serves as a reliable platform that bridges the gap between donors and underserved communities, promoting greater access to education and resource-sharing.
